Annual
Events
Throughout the year aside from our regular weekly
worship services and bible studies
we conduct several annual events.
March/April: Good Friday service.
An opportunity for extended family, friends and guests to gather with
the church at Covenant to reflect on the glorious resurrection of
Christ. This is a gospel service with a pot-providential feast.
Summer/Fall: Church Cabin-in.
In a post-modern culture many non-Christians are
intimidated by the whole "church building" experience. In an
effort to reach the unchurched population and friends and family with
the gospel we "move the church" to a campground for a
weekend.
Our next cabin-in is
scheduled for the Fall of 2007 and will be held at
Camp Shalom-by-the-Lake in Minden, Ontario. Contact us for
details.
August: Usually on the Civic Holiday we hold the
Outreach Church Picnic. Church members are encouraged to
invite family, co-workers and friends for a celebration on the
church lawn or at one of our member's houses.
October 31st:
Reformation Day.
This could also be called church history day for Covenant as we gather
to learn about the men and women who have been used by the Lord in
history. Over the past number of years we have looked at Martin
and Kate Luther, John Calvin, John Knox and William Tyndale.
Each year a short play is produced starring our own members and
friends based on church history. There is also the famous "Who
wants to win a Chocolate Eclair" Reformation edition game show for
adults and children. And, of course, fellowship and good food at
a pot providential supper following the festivities.

Some of the Reformers we've
celebrated: Luther, Calvin, Knox and Tyndale.
Last Friday in November:
Annual
Church Supper.
Each year our
intrepid Social Committee plans the annual church "turkey dinner."
This outreach event is designed to once again enable members and
friends to invite family, friends and acquaintances to dine and
have fellowship with a short Gospel message and carol sing.
Missions
At Covenant, we have always believed that our primary mission and
focus is here in Toronto where God has placed our members and friends.
In many ways, Canada is a true mission field with a great need for the
Gospel. As a church we pray that we will continue to be used by
God as instruments to fulfill this need according to the
Great Commission.
Although we are a small congregation with limited resources we manage,
by grace, to be able to privately and individually give some support to
Cubao Reformed
Baptist Church in Manila, in the Phillipines. We have been
greatly encouraged to see how their ministry has grown to encompass a
seminary, Grace
Ministerial Academy, and a mission to the homeless and the street
children of Manila called
Christian Compassion
Ministries.
